Dusty was the consummate gentleman till the end. He went to sleep one night and didn't wake up. He acquired 13 points/1 major exclusively from the Bred-By Exhibitor class. He was the splitting image of his daddy Jimmy-George, and I still miss seeing he and his daddy look at me with those big, gorgeous dark eyes. He is truly missed. Sleep well my Dust-dog. |

*Specialty Winner* 9/30/90 - 6/2/03 Brandy was very special to me as she was my first Whippet. She was a Specialty winner, great bed warmer and could be quite obnoxious at times. At 12-1/2 years of age she suffered a paralyzing injury that left her a quadrapalegic. After a month of numerous tests, medications, warm compresses and massages, the difficult decision to let her go was made. She was the Grand-dam here at Eclipse and one has yet to take her place. I miss her terribly, as there will never be another first Whippet. |

1/16/92 - 10/17/03 Calypso was imported from France by Sharon Sakson (Paris) in 1992. The crate door opened, and a 9 week old bundle of energy came flying out the door, stopping and standing there looking around saying "HERE I AM". She had this same exhuberance till the end. Cali was the consumate show girl. At 11-1/2 years of age she won Best In Veteran Sweeps at the Somerset Hills KC. Showing herself off at the end of her 5' show lead with a perfect self stack, perfect whippet ears and a glorious arched neck, just like when she was a youngster. A month later Cali passed on to be with Brandy and Teddy at the Rainbow Bridge. My heart still aches. |

A very distraught single mother, and 4 children called to tell me that Lana got out, totally ignored her calls (which she always came when called before) and saw a small white dog cross a field. Well, Lana's favorite toy was a big white stuffed bunny and from about 1/2 mile distance away, she spotted this white thing, thought it was her bunny and ran like the wind, across the open dried grass field, but never made it across the road. There was not any blood, but was killed instantly by a passing car which never even braked. A woman sitting out on her porch enjoying the warm weather, said all she saw was a flash of white, literally flying with no feet touching the ground, across this very large field. She said, "It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen". I am glad that Lana was able to give a memory to someone in the last seconds before her death. Lana was a beautiful bitch who loved to race, even though she wasn't very fast, she competed in some hotly contested runs for the TURTLE award with Willow. As tears stream down my face while writing this, I know she is safe in doggy heaven, meeting up with Brandy & Cali at the Bridge. My beautiful Lana is gone, but will be forever remembered. I'll miss you always, Sleep well my little Naany girl. |

8/15/94 12/20/98 Teddy
was the ultimate Whippet for his co-owner Beth Albuck and I. Although
despising the show ring, he made his presence known when he stepped
into one. His accomplishments include a BOB from the classes over top
winning Specials for 5 points in Niagara Falls, and several BOB and
BOS wins over top Specials from the classes for 5 points in Canada,
both to complete his American and Canadian titles. He also placed 3rd
in a large Open dog class at the 1996 AWC National Specialty in Vermont.

I am forever grateful to be a part of, and to have known these dogs, for without them Eclipse would not exist. I am proud to be a part of the Sporting Field tradition.
